Back in
2010, this blogspot was originally titled Romans 12:2. I just love this verse so much.
“Do not
conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the RENEWING of
your mind.”
My original
thought process and purpose for this small space on the internet was to inspire
and encourage others to dig deep into God’s Word (the Truth) and be
transformed. Christians today are at a
huge crossroads. I feel like the person
in the poem The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost.
“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Our generation must choose to take the road less
traveled. We must stand up for God’s
Truth. We must be Counter Cultural. My prayer for you today is this:
“Father, help renew our minds and hearts. Transform us into Jesus Followers and not Instagram
Followers. We implore You to invade the
hearts and minds of our nation right now.
Rise up leaders that love You and will bring our country back to You. Rise up our children and prepare them to be
those future leaders. We invite You into
our homes as we sit down at the dinner table.
Help us put the screens down long enough to have meaningful conversations
with our spouses and children.
Come, Lord Jesus, Come.
Amen.”
