MOMENTUM

One word.
Jr. High VBS theme.
The quantity of motion of a moving body, measured by multiplying mass by velocity.
The state of my heart at this moment, as it pertains to living a life of:
AMPLIFIED love
AMPLIFIED faith
AMPLIFIED worship

Love.  Something I blog about all the time.  I happen to wear my heart on my sleeve, if you haven't noticed.
Faith.  Something I've had to draw on in times of desperation, fear, turbulence, confusion, and forks in the road of LIFE.
Worship.  Something I'm still learning how to do in my everday walk.  It's not just for Sundays.

Tell me something - when seemingly immovable mountains pop up unexpectedly and block you from the path you had figured out for your life - what do you do?  Get angry?  Sulk?  Blame God?  Ask why?  Cry every tear your body can produce?  Call on a friend for comfort or advice?

We all have different responses.  We all experience very different mountains.
I encourage you to read John 9 - the story of Jesus healing the blind man.
BLIND from birth.  In those days: shunned, cursed, labeled sinner.
Jesus' miraculous healing brought unequivocal joy and excitement!  (Momentum!)
Why was he healed?  Because he had faith.  Because he placed his trust in Jesus.

Your mountains can be moved too.
But only if you have the FAITH.
Read Mark 11:22-26 (in its entirety!)
This faith not only requires SPEAKING the Word of God, but also OBEYING it.
Not only PRAYING for mountains to be moved, but also BELIEVING that God will conquer them.
And, most importantly, FORGIVING others so that you may be forgiven as well.

This isn't a formula for answered prayers.  But this was spoken straight from Jesus himself, and it's God's promise to us.  So when you reach the deepest, darkest valley and you feel like hope is gone- lift your head.  Ask Jesus to carry you through.  And begin worshiping Him.  Thank Him for every blessing.  Pray for others that are in need.  And don't ever give up requesting that God moves your mountains.  He loves taking opportunities to show you HIS GLORY.
